Roy Allen Williams served as the head coach for the UNC Tar Heels Men's Team for 18 seasons.  He served as assistant coach the legendary coach Dean Smith, then joined defending national champion University of Kansas, taking them to 14 consecutive NCAA tournaments, four appearances in the Final Four, and two in the national championship game, before returning to UNC. He was inducted in to the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.
